Pupa
Pupa is an immersive VR documentary that tells the story of Ariel, a patient living with scleroderma - a rare chronic autoimmune disease that causes the skin and connective tissues to harden.
Through hand-tracking technology, audiences experience the transformation of her hands, emotional challenges, and physical inconvenience that accompany the disease. Narrated from the patient’s perspective, Pupa alternates between realistic scenes and more magical, surreal moments, exploring profound themes of resilience, personal growth, and the journey of learning to accept and coexist with fear amid life’s inevitable struggles.
