Intro
The Arecibo message is an interstellar radio message carrying basic information about humanity and Earth that was sent to globular star cluster M13 in 1974.
This project is an attempt to recreate the experience of sending a message to the universe, no matter it is a binary code, morse code, or pixel art.
The player will input their message on the LED matrix panel. When they click the “SEND” button, the message they entered will be sent to a website that displays a log of all the messages that different players sent.
Other than the pixel art that the player created, the website will also display how long the message has travelled and how far it has travelled at the speed of light. It can also show the cloest planet or galaxy to the message.
Or even receiving an alien response…
